2022 Update
Our shop on Duke Street, Douglas is now closed
Our shop was rather special. Think old-school vintage General Store rather than generic high-street retailer. With lots of history and bags of soul; it was a department store since 1880 when a Victorian entrepreneur called George Lays used to sell clothing from the ground floor after manufacturing them in his drapery workshop upstairs. Inside you would find black walls, grand high-ceilings, huge glass chandeliers and an original Victorian mahogany double-width staircase; it was a veritable treasure-trove of wonderful and unusual things to look at....and (of course) take home with you. In 2021, we took the difficult decision to close down our shop at 9-11 Duke Street. The reasons were numerous; the lease of our shop coming to end after a 5 year period, the retail challenges during and after the worldwide pandemic, the implications of importing furniture from around the world after Brexit, and the rising costs and overheads of running a high street store. In August 2021, we put all of our efforts into putting the retail side of our business online at www.Rehab2.co.uk
We continue to remain dedicated to travelling the world to find the most interesting, inspiring items to put into our online shop. Many of the fabulous things we source are from the USA and Europe but we also ‘pick’ from the UK and the island itself and have found some truly incredible pieces over the years. Since we started in 2010, we have created our own range of Manx themed products; most notably our ever popular Manx tin sign range and the historic IOM gig posters, which we continue to offer and expand whenever creative inspiration strikes.
We feel very lucky to to be able to do what we do. Why not visit our online shop and start pickin’ from our original stock today.
