Gemma Wasley

Founder of Rehab Squared Design Studio

Born on the Isle of Man, Gemma grew up with a passion for all things creative. She studied BA (Hons) Architecture at the Kingston School of Architecture and also graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Art History from Liverpool, so it’s fair to say that Gemma knows a thing or two about Art and Design.

Corporate roles after University with leading companies such as Virgin and Microsoft took Gemma around the World - from setting up and running some of the world’s biggest nightclubs in London and Ibiza to working in Sydney for a leading health organisation.

In 2010, Gemma returned to the Isle of Man and her creative roots, setting up Interior Rehab, her first design studio. Interior Rehab created pieces of custom-made furniture and provided interior design services to both residential and commercial clients over a 5-year period. Rehab² now builds on the strength of Interior Rehab’s reputation and continues to provide the best of what the Isle of Man can offer; commercial interior design services, custom-made, designer furniture in addition to hand-picked antiques and gifts, all of which can all be found in the ground floor retail space of 9-11 Duke Street.

In recent years, Gemma has production designed for films, winning awards for her art direction. She has also undertaken further studies of Interior Design at the University of London and is a member of the British Institute of Interior Designers (BIID).

“Spending concerted time in the Rehab² store is a bit like wandering the dizzying, surreal corridors of Gemma’s brilliant mind”
